 Time to polish up your show ring craft for the 2010 show season? The AHAQ Inc is proud to bring you a Clinic with the doyens of the hack ring, Terry Cowan and Vince Corvi. This one day clinic will be held on Saturday the 13th of February at Benalbyn Lodge, Park Ridge.
Cost is $70 for a private lesson or $50 (per rider) for a shared (2 riders) lesson. Fence sitters $10. Discounts for members and multiple riding lessons. Spaces are limited so book your spot now by contacting Lisa 5543 2107 or Shannon 04122677998 for further details and to book your space.

The Qld Crabbet Arabian Group is presenting Two Shows in one this year on the last weekend of February at Caboolture Showgrounds. On Saturday the 27th will be the popular All Arabian Summer Show with three rings operating. Sunday 28th will be an Open (any breed) Youth Show.

A final call for particpants at the Qld Arabian Judges Seminar to be held this Saturday 9th January at Rocklea Showgrounds. This seminar is recomended for all competitors, prospective judges and judges and features guest speaker Darrall Clifford of Equine Hoofcare Services.

 The AHAQ Inc is pleased to advise that we have secured the services of two experienced and respected Judges for the 2009 A Spring Affair to be held on the 13th September at Gatton Equestrian Centre. Presiding over the Purebred Halter and Saddle classes is National Panel judge Mieke Bigg and Penny Toft well known endurance and hack exhibitor and judge will be officiating in the Derivtive ring.

The Pride of Poland horse auction on Sunday crowned the annual Arabian Horse Days at the stables in Janow Podlaski.The 40th jubilee auction presented 36 horses, twenty eight of which had been sold, bringing a purse of 2,300,000 euro. This sum is just short of last year's over 3,000,000 euro result, but the global crisis is forcing even the most wealthy horse enthusiasts to carefully consider expenses.

The AHAQ Inc is proud to present "A Breeding Seminar" on the 6th September, hosted at Jangharm Arabians, near Toowoomba. Presenters will include Robin Woodward from Equivet Australia (Wilsons Vet hospital), Ron Major from Pyrde's Easifeeds, Kathryn Wilkie from Fodder Solutions and Richard & Marion Sharman.
The day will include a practical demonstration of what happens at the stud including introducing a maiden stallion to breeding mares, handling the foal, and a tour of safe stud facilites.

The 2009 Challenge stallion Auction held on Saturday evening at the Challenge Show brought a large excited crowd a number attracted by the descision to open the event to Derivative stallions and breedings for the first time.
Auctioneer this year was Sean Chapman who certainly displayed a grasp of the job and was able to cajole, beg, entertain and extract bids from the crowd.
