 Welcome to the 2009 Challenge Stallion Auction, our 4th Annual auction of donated services to some of the finest horses available at stud in Queensland and Australia.
We are indebted to the wonderful stallion owners who have generously donated a service to the Challenge committee and we thank them most sincerely. These people are supporting the promotion of the Arabian horse in Queensland.
This year we have changed the conditions of the auction slightly to include the breeders and exhibitors of Derivative Arabians. Australia is recognised the world over for the quality of our derivative Arabians and it is only fitting they join the Challenge Stallion Auction.
We have also changed the age of showing from weanling to yearling to allow mare owners more time to get their mares in foal and to prepare the subsequent progeny.
Sixty percent of all monies raised at the auction will be returned as prizemoney to the Yearling classes to be held in 2012.
We thank all participants in this year's auction and wish you every success with your resulting foals.

The 2009 Challenge stallion Auction held on Saturday evening at the Challenge Show brought a large excited crowd a number attracted by the descision to open the event to Derivative stallions and breedings for the first time.
Auctioneer this year was Sean Chapman who certainly displayed a grasp of the job and was able to cajole, beg, entertain and extract bids from the crowd.

The Auction will be held Saturday Evening 2nd May 2009 in Indoor Arena at the 2009 Qld Arabian Challenge Show at approximately 7:00pm.
Stallions or one progeny may be paraded on the night. Services on offer will be for purebred and derivative breedings as advised.

Stallion Roster for the 2009 Challenge Stallion Service Auction
The lineup of stallions for the 2009 Stallion Auction includes past and present Australian National Champion stallions at halter and performance and bloodlines to suit all discerning breeders. Some of the stallions listed are not available at public stud.
